I have the misfortune to live in California, while the nice weather and surroundings can be considered agreeable most of the time, it is offset 100% by the left wing lunatics regulating and taxing everyone to death. Naturally, with the exception of the illegals and everyone on benefits and welfare.
I try very hard to run a business here. it’s nothing glamorous, I import high tech products from our factories in Europe and distribute them here in the USA, but dealing with the “tree hugger” mentality and the endless and sometimes ridiculous regulations, plus the OBSCENE taxes make running a business next to impossible. No wonder people are leaving this poxy state in droves to set up shop in “business friendly” states. I may be joining them soon.
California is openly hostile to business, they seem go out of their way to make it as difficult and expensive to do business here. I really don’t get it, what do they hope to gain by driving us away? But then again this is a uber liberal socialist mentality we have here, “business is bad and evil” right, well if we all leave there will be no-one left to pay taxes and fund all the libtard befit programs. To quote Margaret Thatcher:
“The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”
Don’t get me wrong, I am not against paying taxes, we need to have a functional society with services, and we need to be protected (Military and Police) but its now getting out of control, the things which are taxed and what taxes are used for make no sense any more. I also think a certain amount of “common sense” in terms of regulation is important, we need to take care of the environment and people need to be safe. But the governing body in California are driven by pressure from a “Politically Correct” subculture, and we have our own set of regulations piled on top of the federal ones, for example cars have to be made “Special” just for California to comply with our unique emission rules.
I made the mistake to purchase a motorcycle from another state and try to register it here. Then I find out it’s not the “California” model with all these ineffective, unbelievably expensive extra modifications and additions required for this state. Why? well these modifications are to catch the infinity small wisp of petrol fumes which could possibly evaporate from the gas tank in the sunlight with the gas cap ON. California burns to the ground with biblical wildfires every year, pushing thousands of tons of carbon monoxide and toxic fumes into the atmosphere, but hey the possibility of an infinitely small wisp of petrol fumes coming from my sealed gas tank on a hot day is something to worry about. We need to get some perspective. Problem is they have not figured out a way yet to tax and fine God for acts of nature which pollute the atmosphere.
Needless to say getting the bike modified was obscenity expensive. I should have just got one from here. It gave immense satisfaction to the dick-less DMV twat who refused the registration while gleefully informing me of the “special” California needs. After lining up for three hours in a hot sweaty DMV armpit, with hundreds of illegals in line, all to get their driving licenses and state ID (we are a sanctuary state after all) he was lucky I never reached over the counter to wipe the smug smile off his face.
Now there is PROP 65, a wonderful law the lovely voters of California passed way back in 1986 to warn unsuspecting consumers that the products they are using may in fact cause cancer. Which is why sometimes you see labels on products warning you of this. Well this has seen a resurgence of interest recently, and they keep adding to the list of chemicals which PROP 65 covers to the point where practically every chemical compound and element know to man is part of this list and therefore practically everything you consume, handle or are exposed in any way shape or form poses some small risk of cancer (according to California). So there are these warning labels on everything, scaring consumers to death. They even want to put these labels on coffee as it has been deemed that now that coffee can also give you cancer. As you can imagine Starbucks has a slight problem with this, but hey! they are a Seattle based loyal democrat libtard company, part of the tree hugger culture. They are a big part of the problem. All I can do is laugh out loud, this has really bit them in the ass, and i cannot wait to see the label on the cup stating “warning the state of California has deemed this product can cause the risk of cancer” let see how many tree hugging, libtard, millennial coffee drinkers abandon coffee and their socialist headquarters Starbucks.
