Don’t you think the world has gone down a couple of rungs in terms of what is acceptable “quality”. So many people are willing to blindly trade quality for price that it seems almost impossible to find a “quality” product anymore. Almost everything is made in China. And for me is ANNOYING. Shit is not supplied complete its always missing parts, or it breaks or crashes almost instantly, the manuals or instructions are translated so badly it offers some [ironic] comic relief when you are trying to get the shit assembled or working.
I find myself cursing the shit out of this box or that box because it just stops working and needs a power reset, good thumping or it just falls apart. When inspected a little more closely you can see the reason written all over it “Made in China” the kiss of death. Note it’s not displayed prominently, you have to really look for it sometimes, they are obviously required by law to disclose where something is made, and they find the most inconspicuous unreadable spot they can to sneak it on [reluctantly gritting their teeth while doing so]. That’s alone tells you something, USA manufacturers take pride in prominently displaying “Made in the USA” as a mark of pride, the Chinese obviously know their stuff is dogshit, because they try and hide it, they realize it’s a badge of shame.
I for one am sick to death of having to put up with this Chinese shit, I would gladly pay 2 or 3 times more for a US made “quality” product that is going to last more than 15 minutes, but the problem is finding them. All these companies have all been bombed out of existence by the relentless corporate desire to outsource everything to China over the last two decades.
We don’t have any choices anymore, there is an endless array of cheap unreliable dogshit product from China, or the super expensive luxury branded versions made in the West, there is nothing in the middle anymore. No average company who served middle America could survive the onslaught of cheap labor, currency manipulation, and a country whose government rejoices in the use of counterfeit and dangerous parts as they have no quality standards, controls or regulation.
We live in a cheap, temporary, disposable world now, expectations are low and getting lower, its seems today if something is not working, or falling apart then its justified by “well what do you expect it only cost this much” and that makes it ok? China is filling our landfills in the west with its poorly made low quality, unreliable shit, they pollute the planet manufacturing the stuff on their side of the world, and pollute our side with their garbage product filling our landfills with dangerous chemicals.
Don’t get me started on interlectual property theft, I will rant about that in another posting.
